Laura’s affection for drawing is rooted in a childhood preoccupation with Quentin Blake and Walt Disney.

Endless days spent drawing and an enduring love for art and design have nurtured her artistic style – often haphazard, with an emphasis on dramatic lines.

Among Laura’s favourite artists are Alphonse Mucha, David Downton, Robert McGinnis, Ralph Steadman and René Gruau. Given the subject matter of their work, it’s little wonder she was inspired to use ink to draw the female form.

Born and bred in Birmingham, Laura moved to London and studied at the University for Creative Arts. Since graduating, she has continued to draw and paint professionally, collaborating with brands including Sweet Theatre, Paul Smith and Selfridges.

Laura’s original paintings and limited edition prints are available from Castle Fine Art and here. If you’d like to talk about commissions, please get in touch.

Away from her easel, Laura is fond of scruffy dogs and nostalgia.
